Bikram Choudhury, founder of Bikram's Yoga College of India, World Headquarters, Los Angeles, California, began learning Hatha yoga at the age of three in Calcutta, India. As I opened a Christmas gift from my children discovering a month of yoga classes at Bikram Yoga of the Woodlands, I could only think: "Oh, no! Is this the yoga that is performed in a 105-degree room for an hour and a half?" First of all, where would I find the time; secondly, would I be able to endure the heat and perform the postures?

It's April - goal is 4 classes a week; realistic attendance - 3 classes per week

My mental state: changed measurably! ** (see below)
My physical state: no more lower back pain (REALLY).
My flexibility and balance - improved 110%!
